Patrick Richardson's Europa Pro Experiance

Ok... well here we go. So as most of you know I placed about 12th in the under 210 class. I have to admit that I was highly disappointed with the results for this show and my placings. I thought that conditioning was going to play a more important role in this event with the weight class and all. Obviously I was wrong. They were picking the bigger guys tat were closer to the 210 weight class and in my opinion, some times at the expense of conditioning. I feel that my conditioning and symmetry is what warned me my pro card and I did not want to sacrifice either on the pro level. I did however accomplish my goal of stepping on stage at 26lbs heavier than in the 2004 Nationals without sacrificing my conditioning which I thought was a huge accomplishment.
On the other hand. I have to admit that my cortisol level was through the roof and I could tell in my back shots. My back started to get a little watery looking. But hen compared to some of the others who placed ahead of me I still had more muscle in my back and still better conditioning than several of the higher placings. Ok, enough of that.... I still do not regret at all doing the show at all. I think it was a good experience and I even did the open show the day after the under 210 show just for the experience. It was actually easier because I had no expectations. I just went out there and did my 60 sec routine and had fun with it. I hope to bring an even better package next time as I have assessed my physique from the contest pics and I know what needs to be improved on and I intend to do just that. If anything.. I think this show helped to motivate me to make some improvements in this years off season training! The judges and a couple of promoters said that the under 210 show was a huge success and that they thought they were going to offer this class in several more shows through out the year which was good to hear. I think it is great for the sport of bodybuilding and I also think it will bring back more competitors, more fans and hopefully more prize money in this class. Thanks for all of the support and encouragement from my fans, friends and family! I am attaching some of the pics that were taken from my room the day before the show, from the weigh ins and also some tat were taken of my on stage. Hope you enjoy! Patrick.. Until next time, train Insane!!!!!
